Your Excuses Aren’t Special
And You Can Do Better.
We procrastinate all the time. About almost any topic we can imagine, we have excuses repeatedly. Sometimes, we have some creative ones, like those we think are unique or something.
I’m here to tell you otherwise. No, your excuses aren’t unique. Most probably, someone else is (if not more people are) using the exact same excuses as you at the moment.
I know it’s hard to think that you’re creating excuses all the time, but when you think about the last 24 hours you had from this perspective, you’ll probably get what I’m trying to say. We all do this every day. You may not be doing that “all the time,” but there would be some things you might have been missed about your day-to-day actions.
I’m not saying we shouldn’t procrastinate. We shouldn’t act like our excuses are not really excuses. They mostly are. And they’re not real reasons to not do the things we should be doing.
I was also like that. Procrastinating all day long and trying to rationalize what I’m doing and why I’m doing that. Then someday, I stopped doing it.
I have some ideas that helped me overcome procrastination and stop finding excuses. Let me share them with you.
